2023 Office Design Trends
Every year new trends emerge, old trends get a new life, and offices update their looks.
While each office is different, if you're considering remodeling or want to freshen up your space, you may be curious to know what's trendy! Since we're about halfway through 2023, we decided to take a look at some of the consistent trends of this year.
Accessible Spaces
Every office adheres to accessibility standards. However, more offices continue to go above and beyond to make their space even more accommodating and accessible. Some examples include:
Non-traditional seating, such as exercise balls, or even offering standing desks with treadmills.
Avoiding the use of harsh overhead lighting, and instead opting to have softer floor lighting.
Quiet areas where employees can go to decompress.
Plants, rather than strongly scented flowers.
Natural Feel
Since 2020, there has been an increased appeal to having an office that feels natural. This means plants, greenery, natural lighting, and light woods. Some take it to a bold place with moss walls adorned with neon lights, while others go for a more serene route, focusing on a plethora of plants, soft colors, and an open layout. Some popular natural color choices are: terracotta, sage green, and cream.
Plants
Plants. Not only do they accentuate the natural feel, but they have many benefits, such as: stress reduction, increased productivity, noise dampening, and air purification.
While plants aren't necessarily a trend, more and more offices are beginning to add them with intention. Rather than throwing a potted plant in a corner and calling it a day, more offices are beginning to use professional teams to help them with plants. This includes everything from creating a layout, understanding which plants are the best fit for your space, and even maintaining them. By working with a team of horticultural technicians, you can take your office from haphazard to curated- allowing you, your employees, and your clients to reap the benefits.
At Kim Parker Plants, our team of professionals will offer their advice and guidance on where to place plants to have a cohesive look, what plants would do best in your office, and assist every step of the way! For each new project, we have many different packages to choose from, ensuring that the result is breathtakingly beautiful. We love our plants, and we know you will too.
