Best Office Plants for Productivity

It's no secret that certain items and environments boost productivity.

When adding items to an office, most people consider lights, comfortable seating, and art.

However, there is another thing to consider: plants! There are many reasons why more people are choosing to decorate with plants- and one of them is that plans have been shown to increase happiness and productivity. Below are some of the top choices for plants that boost productivity.

Sansevieria

Because Sansevieria can live in low-lit spaces, it allows offices the opportunity to add plants to an area they may have thought previously couldn't have plants, based on lighting. If an employee worked in that space, they would not be able to reap the benefits of feeling more in touch with nature, as studies have shown that biophilia (the idea that humans desire connection to other living things) has a positive impact on employee well-being, leading to increased productivity.

Aglaonema

Aglaonema are a very versatile plant. They have a fairly broad range of lighting capabilities; they love bright indirect sunlight, but can handle lower light by simply slowing its rate of growth. Aglaonema are very bushy plants, and often have vibrant, intricate leaf patterns. They are, therefore, a plant that can be put in a variety of spaces to bring interest to any room, and employees will love seeing how these amazing plants change over time

Zz

ZZ almost look fake at first glance due to their waxy leaves and uniform leaf placement. They require less water than the average plant, and so are great additions to closed office spaces (though we still like to check on them during routine maintenance!).

Philodendron

Philodendrons are fantastic for offices due to their lush foliage. They can be hung or placed on the ground, and grow in different shapes and sizes, making them a great display choice. They are very versatile, even in color! One of the most common Philodendron are the Cordatum and Brasil variety, whose leaves grow in the shapes of hearts.

Pothos

Pothos are a popular office choice since they have such a wide variety in terms of colors and leaf patterns. They’re a hardy plant, and go great in our live plant walls as they can trail! As we’ve mentioned, our live plant walls are a great biophilic design addition to any office.

Bromeliads

Bromeliads are great to add a pop of color to your office, which can boost morale and inspire joy!
